Twinbird was established in 1951 as a manufacturer of plating products, and expanded into the field of electrical appliances during the 1980s. We have continued to develop products according to the philosophy on which we were founded," Bringing joy and comfort into the lives of our customers."
We strive to look at the needs of daily life from the viewpoint of the customer, and always "think outside the box" when it comes to product development. We believe this stance allows us to manufacture items that improve the quality of our customers' lives, and to achieve our goal of bringing "joy and comfort" to them.

In addition, we are currently developing the FPSC (Free Piston Stirling Cooler), a cooling system with minimal environmental impact. Its non-CFC operation is easy on the ecosystem, and with low energy consumption, it's engineered to help people achieve the environmentally-friendly lifestyle they've been working toward.

Twinbird Corporation is in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture that is geometrically positioned at almost the center of Japan, where is the typical agricultural area and recalls us Japanese traditional scenery.
The site location is good at transportation convenience, it takes only 2 hours from Tokyo and 1 hour from the Niigata port.
This area, Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture has been traditionally famous for its prosperous metalworking industry while the production and distribution of tableware used to be the major industry of this area in the past decades and such traditional metal working technology is still flourishing today in the form of special metal, such as titanium processing industries.
Twinbird had founded its company basement utilizing its unique metal processing technologies.
Twinbird successfully enjoyed its business of manufacturing / distribution of "Gift premium goods" in the domestic market.
Nowadays Twinbird is engaged in the business projects of manufacturing and distribution of smaller consumer electronic commodities such as electric cleaners and audio-visual products.

The business areas of Twinbird are configured roughly from the following seven sections; "Vacuum cleaners", "Audio-visual appliances", "Lighting apparatus", "Kitchen electric appliances", "Life consumer electronics", "Hear-dressing & beauty appliances", and "FPSC".However, there are no barrier among these categories and the technology is always shared and utilized for the products of other fields.

"Vacuum cleaners"In the business circumstance where Japanese leading consumer-electronics makers were spending their energy in the development of high powered and large sized models, we devoted ourselves into the development of smaller models, especially handy types and stick type models as well as cyclonic types and succeeded to make remarkable footsteps in the popularization of these smaller models in Japanese market. Originally, our effort for introducing new products to the market is started from "Personal use cleaners" changing from "home use models" and is continued now to introduce convenient usability of smaller cleaners.
Water Proof Products(Audio-Visual appliances)"The development of our LCD TV was started in 1994 and we are proposing joy and conveniences of watching TV and DVD softwares in the bathroom or at poolside by remodeling such smaller TV products to waterproof versions. Today we are recognized in Japan as a specialized maker of water proof audio-visual products, as competing makers have retired from the market.
"Lighting apparatus"Household lighting apparatus except fixed installation types are produced. Mainly fluorescent desk stand, clip light, and bed side lamps are produced for distribution. This line provides the new and unique product proposal such as "Portable light stand" matching to the new life styles and "Gentle to eyes lamp stand" for aged consumers. Such efforts result Twinbitd to obtain leading position of these types of lighting product manufacturing / sales in Japanese market.
"Kitchen electric appliances"We are producing general cooking consumer electronics such as electric grill pans and food processors.
Beside them, household compact rice polishing machines of almost the same size as rice cookers joined recently to our product line-up noting the fact that rice is the principal foodstuff in Japan. This attempt is so far indicated successful result and brought back to the users the deliciousness of rice that has been forgotten among Japanese people for longtime.
"Life consumer electronics"Life consumer electronics such as ultrasonic washing machines and voice monitors are the smaller daily life products that enable us to feel convenient and comfort, we are developing and producing such convenient items that are close to our daily life.
"Hear-dressing & beauty appliances"Quite new unique product "Scalp washing brush" was announced to the market in 2006 and succeeded to create quite new market.
This revolutionary movement gives influences also to the shampoo makers and the new concept "scalp shall be washed with the dedicated washing brush" has been established among Japanese.
FPSC New Cooling/Refrigeration System with Stirling TechnologyTwinbird started the development of "FPSC (Free Piston Stirling Cooler)" in 1998, and the mass-production technology of the system was successfully established in 2002. FPSC is the environmentally friendly and high energy efficient "Perfect Freon Free freezer, which enables finely controlled temperature adjustment operation using small amount of natural material "Helium Gas" which gives no environmental impact to human body and global environment. The system also has its unique feature of cooling down to the temperature of minus 120 degree C. Now we are devoting ourselves to the steady expanding of the product lineup, and along with such effort, the application field of the system is also steadily expanding from "Recreational and leisure" area to "Low temperature transportation" and "Biotechnology and medical field".
