・SC-UERF、SC-UE15R( PDF )
・SC-UE15( PDF )
・SC-UG08S( PDF )
・SC-TG08S( PDF

Q: How to mount FPSC?

A: Install FPSC carefully to be applied little bending and/or twisting stress on Cooling Head because it is made of relatively thin stainless steel.
*See user’s manual for details.

Q: In case of developing a cooling box with FPSCs, is there any calculation methods of the cooling temperature in order to refer for selecting FPSCs?

A: See linked document for details.※( PDF
※The result of the calculation is the typical characteristic at no load, not guaranteed value.

Q: Can I install FPSC in any directions?

A: Both vertical or horizontal are possible.( PDF

Q: How to mount cooling objects to FPSC?

A: A cooling object can be mounted on FPSC with SC-CA04 Cold side adapter (not included).
SC-CA04 is genuine cold side adapter for SC-UG08S and SC-TG08S.

(SC-CA04 Cold side adapter)

Mount parts for cold head are pre-installed for SC-UERF and SC-UE15R.

*See user’s manual for details.

Q: Can I set temperature over -20℃ for FPSC?

A: FPSC is designed to be used under -20℃. Do not set temperature of Cold Head over -20℃, such as -15℃ and -10℃, in case of using Temperature Control System.

Q: Do you support custom specifications?

A: No custom specifications are available.

Q: Is FPSC waterproof?

A: FPSC is not waterproof.

Q: How to select appropriate power supply for FPSCs?

A: SC-UERF, SC-UE15R, SC-UE15.
Output voltage DC48V, Maximum current : More than 9A
SC-UG08S, SC-TG08S.
Output voltage DC24V, Maximum current : More than 10A

*See user’s manual for details.

Q: How to select appropriate controller for FPSC?

A: Select the temperature controller with Bank switching function, or PID control function.※

※Bank switching function: It is to control output signal range(0~100%) .

Q: How to prevent an abnormal vibration from FPSC?

A: Abnormal vibration tends to occur when the temperature of the cold heat is higher than -20℃ at the beginning of driving. When the temperature of the cold heat is -20℃ or higher, abnormal vibration can be suppressed by limiting the power supply to the FPSC at lower level.

Supplied power can be controlled to select the temperature controller with Bank switching function, or PID control function.

Note that SC-UG08S and SC-TG08S have been preinstalled the function to control supply power, detecting the start of sudden abnormal vibration.

*See user’s manual for details.

Q: FPSC does not operate.

A:

1.Check the wiring on Driver PCB of FPSC. Check the connector’s insertion.
Refer to the wiring for SC-UERF, SC-UE15R, SC-UE15.( PDF
Refer to the wiring for SC-UG08S, SC-TG08S.( PDF
2.Check the power supply for the FPSC; See above, “How to select power supply”
3.Check the Error signal from the Driver PCB?
FPSC is not operated while Error signal is output.
Restart FPSC after reset the Error signal.
Contact to SC/Overseas sales department if the Error signal appears after restarting.  (Contact

Q: FPSC and Freezing device do not get cold well.

A:

1. Check the heat transfer/resistance between Cold head of FPSC and cooling objects.
2. Check the thermal insulation status between the Cold head the Cold head including cooling object and outside.
3. Check the Exhaust air from Fan motor does not return to Heat reject fin.
4. Check the output speed setting switch “SW1” on the drive board set to the factory default (0110).
5. Check “Power save signal” from your Temperature controller?
6. Check the Error signal or Warning signal from Driver PCB.
FPSC is not operated while Error signal is output. Error signal is output. Restart FPSC after reset the Error signal.

Contact to SC/Overseas sales department if the Error signal appears after restarting. (Contact

Q: How to buy FPSC, price, delivery?

Q: FPSC portable freezer does not operate.

A:
1. Check the genuine DC power cable or AC adapter plug securely inserted and used. Also, check if appropriate voltage and current is input as specified in the specifications.
2. Check if the “Battery low” lamp is flashing. Turn off the power and restart it in case of Alarm or Error. Contact to SC/Overseas sales department in case of Alarm or Error continue after restart. (Contact

Q: AC adapter or DC power cable does not work.

A: Order genuine AC adapter or DC power cable to SC/Overseas sales department. ( Contact

Q: FPSC portable freezer does not get cold well.

A:

1. Packed too tightly affect the transmission of cold air. Please place stored items at least 1cm away from each inside wall.
2. Make sure that the lid (and the inner lid in the case of SC-DF25) is completely closed without any gaps. In order to maintain a constant temperature inside the refrigerator, open and close the lid as little as necessary.
3. Do not install it in direct sunlight, near sources of heat, such stoves, or in places where heat can easily accumulate.
4. Place the intake and exhaust ports with a space of at least 20 cm from the wall. Clean the filter regularly to prevent it from becoming clogged.

Q: What should be checked before returning failure unit?

A: Full fill the check list and email it to the sales person.( PDF

Q: How to dispose of the FPS portable freezers (SC-DF25, SC-BV25)?

A: Two type of refrigerant are used in the FPSC portable freezers, such as helium and carbon dioxide. Both of those are NOT subject to the Freon Emission Control Law, but since they are sealed under rather high pressure, please dispose as industrial waste, according to the instructions of your local government.
